Sterling Electro-Mechanical Services is a repair company for MBO, Stahl and Baum folder electrical / electronic parts. Our workshop refurbishes all types of motor drives, inverters, counters and feeder mechanism control boards. We repair roller, conveyor and delivery motors. Sterling rebuilds Rietschle, Gast and Becker pumps and holds in inventory carbon vanes and brushes for all types of motors. Our rebuilding service is highly cost effective when compared with the purchase of a new motor or circuit board. Our 1 year warranty covers the complete board and not just replaced components.

FOLD ROLLERS

We have been manufacturing folder rollers for over 80 years. We produce all types of buckle folder rollers and segmented gluing rollers. Sterling offers two hardnesses of urethane for rollers, a standard 85-90 duro for normal operations and a softer 65-70 duro for extra grip on aqueous coated stock. We fabricate rollers to meet your specifications including high density parallel segmented rollers and Stahl parallel segments for MBO.

If your application calls for gluing, Sterling produces parallel and spiral segmented rollers. Both types of segments are available with the standard and softer urethane inserts. These mount to a keyed shaft and are held in place with a single hex screw allowing ease of adjustment for set ups. When gluing is completed, there is no need to remove the rollers, simply move the segments together and continue folding.

Our roller bodies and journal ends are precision ground to the highest tolerances and for minimum shaft runout. All our rollers are supplied with sealed bearings and drive keys. The rollers we produce are an exact match to the OEM's.

Sterling offers a roller recovery service. We take your worn rollers, remove the urethane, rejuvenate the knurling and check shaft run out. We true all rollers then replace the urethane with the hardness you require. The rollers are then ground and new bearings added. Our regrinds are machined with the same attention to accuracy as our manufactured rollers.

We recover pullout wheels using an identical recovery process as our regrinds and we offer the same urethane choice as our rollers. The wheels are stripped, cleaned and checked for concentric runout. The urethane of your choice is applied and reground. This recovery process is highly cost effective when compared to the price of a new pullout wheel.
